the final episode of ‘the genius of design‘, the five part bbc series, is now available on iplayer. this has been a really great series, and i can highly recommend watching it while you still can, whether you are a designer or not. the final episode, entitled ‘objects of desire’, looks at the 80’s, 90s, 00s and beyond, and how we might become more sustainable than we currently are.

i also came across this review of the series by justin mcguirk on the guardian website, which is also worth a read.

That kettle is amazing! Where’s it from and how (painfully) expensive is it?

  2. harry says:

it’s an alessi kettle, and they’re about £80. and according to the show, they’ve sold 1,700,000 since they went into production, making them the best selling kettle ever!
