puzzle calender

i was on the v&a shop website, and came across this: the ‘lego inspired’ puzzle calender. I’m not sure if I like it or not. On the one hand, it looks like lego, but then that’s the point: it’s not. And I don’t quite understand why certain things are certain colours.

Either way, it’s one of the few items on the v&a website that actually sold out, so i’m guessing it’s quite popular. And maybe something that lego themselves could actually do, but better.
