wood and metal

i have seen two really good combinations of wood and metal on designboom recently. the first is the ‘naked chair’ by the studio of outofstock design. the chair is made of beech and folded steel, which comes flat packed.

fulgaro are a swiss based design studio, whose work caught my eye in a recent designboom article. above is the ‘bookmark’ bedside lamp, and below is the ‘tree’ coat and unmbrella stand. both very simple and very nice!
